the urban winery project began in adelaide in 2012. since thE PILOT season we've popped up in various locations in adelaide, melbourne + SYDNEY, and shareD wine with the brave and curious.

after 3 successful years in adelaide the words of many rang true.
'you should do this in melbourne'
3 nights over 3 weeks the urban winery project immersed the brave in a ritual of grapes, charcoal, music, light and oak in an unforgettable season.

Adelaide central market

back on our own in 2014, vinteloper took a short term lease on an abandoned former fruit stall in the adelaide central market.
surrounded by the amazing fresh produce and buzz of the market, one of adelaide's centres of tourism, heads were turned and eyebrows raised.

188 GRENFELL ST ADELAIDE
a collaboration with little miss mexico

little miss mexico turned our humble space into a vibe filled rustic styled outdoor bar and taqueria specialising in Mexican street food and cerveza. 
crammed in amongst the pallet bars and party people, our pop-up winery opened 6 nights a week.

2012

188 grenfell st adelaide

A former homewares and outdoor landscape store, the property at 188 grenfell had sat vacant for over five years. 
It's 400m2 courtyard was overgrown and under appreciated, and the perfect location for a pop-up winery.
we made 528 bottles of grenache from mclaren vale.
